Raised in Sacramento, California, I studied Classics as an undergraduate at California State University – Sacramento, doing 1-year abroad in Swansea, U.K. I then moved to Exeter, U.K. for my M.A. in Classics and Ancient History and Ph.D. in Classics. My research analysed Romano-British temples in south-eastern England through a theoretical archaeological lens. During my time at university, I participated in a number of Roman and Medieval excavations and volunteered at Swansea University's Egypt Centre and the Royal Albert Memorial Museum in Exeter.
I then moved to Hokkaido, Japan, after which I worked in public relations for a few years with Hokkaido University, one of Japan’s top universities. I specialised in research communications and digital media, alongside publications, translations, and other jobs. I am currently a Research Fellow for the university’s Center for Teaching and Learning.
I love ancient history and archaeology, but I also have a thirst to learn about research in other areas, including the natural sciences.
I am currently focusing my efforts on developing my coding and data scientist skills.
